This subject is designed to equip students with (a) the understanding regarding theories related to research methodology in English Language Teaching (ELT), (b) the best practice research taken from reputable journals, and (c) the experience of practicing writing a research proposal that includes activities such as selecting a research focus, navigating relevant references and the scientific records, annotating and paraphrasing, choosing an appropriate research design, and writing parts of the proposal.
